things to do when you're feeling mellow

After a long hiatus, I am finally back heh.

This was originally written to my friend to make him feel better because of his break-up.  But since it's for good cause, I'll share my ways here too.

1. Listen to nice and cheerful songs (Try Everything by Shakira is very encouraging)

2. Play games ( I would advise playing board games, Monopoly, UNO etc. )

3. EAT of course (chocolate chip cookies, ice creams, chips etc. )

4. Pen your thoughts

5. Watch your favourite movies ( mine is Zootopia! and some other action movies like Black Panther or 2012)

6. Do some workouts (sweat your worries out, it might help you clear your brain a little)

7. Draw / colour / paint

8. Oh yes this works for me a lot, sleep

9. Call your grandma!! (she loves you dearly, and deserves a lot more credit than your ex if you're going through a breakup.  Actually, just anyone you trust in general, the ones that make you feel safe)

10. Watch baby/animal videos (might heal your soul a little)

11. Dress up, wear clothes that make you feel good about yourself.


Feeling down is a part of life, and someone once told me that we need to feel sad to know that happiness truly exists. In a way, it doubled the happiness, making the pleasure even more enjoyable.  Remember, after the rain always comes a rainbow.
